Do three investigative workbook pages on each of three artists of your choice from the following list. Describe the artist’s work, methods of construction, influences, any information about the artist’s life that helped to shape and direct them. Lastly, critique their work in an objective way and then explain subjectively how you relate to the work. Use a minimum of two sources for each artist. Use one picture on each workbook page; do not allow the picture to take up more than fifty percent of the page. Identify the artist, work, source of your picture and source of your information. Use quote marks if a direct citation.

Visit a gallery, museum or shop where there is a show of ceramics. If there is a brochure about the show, include that in your workbook. Don’t just glue it in. Cut it up, paste portions in your workbook and make remarks. During the visit record the name of the gallery, the exhibit, the name(s) of the artist(s), and any technical information you find out about the work.
