Returning Students (Seniors):
Download the Music IB Guide.
1. Musical Investigation Paper
- Bring to the first class meeting three potential topics for your Musical Investigation Paper.
- Read pp. 9-10 and 16-17 in your Music IB Guide for guidelines; p. 27 for assessment criteria.
- The final product will be due the last week of classes first term.
2. Composition
- Keep a Composition Journal and bring at least three solid compositional ideas to the first class meeting.
- Read pp. 12, 19, and 20 in your Music IB Guide for guidelines; pp. 33-37 for assessment criteria.
- One composition will be due at mid-term first term.
3. Performance - Bring to the first class meeting a beginning draft of your set list for your Performance CD. You are not locked into whatever you put on your draft list, but you must begin to focus on the pieces you will prepare.
- Read pp. 10 and 11 in your Music IB Guide for guidelines; pp. 28-32 for assessment criteria.
