For your summer assignment you must work on entries in your sketchbook that apply directly to the theme you discussed in the Artist Statement you wrote in June. You should have at least 15 pages of work related directly to this idea whether it be subject related research on artists or ideas, technique information, or actual studies for the work you will be doing. You must be prepared to move forward. The 12-18 works you will need should be started soon after your arrival back at school so you need the ideas!

You should plan on having at least fall or winter term off from sports as you will need to spend extra time in the art studio to produce the work. If this is not possible you must return to school with at least 5 works of art.
