Meet the Admission Staff
Hello! Our admission staff helps prospective students and their families get to know George School through the admission process. In addition to our roles in the admission office, we are teachers, coaches, advisors, club leaders, dorm residents, parents, and grandparents. We travel in the fall, winter, and spring to various locations across the country and around the globe.
Please send us an email or give us a call if you have questions about the application process, financial aid, scholarships, residential life, or anything else you might like to know about George School.
We look forward to meeting you and seeing you on campus. |

"Returning to George School has allowed me to give back to a community that has made a tremendous difference in my life. My wife Shauna (George School Girls' Assistant Athletic Director) and I love watching our daughters Anya and Kayla (a Butterfly at the George School Children's Center) grow up on campus. We live in Westwood, the girls' freshmen dorm. Anya and Kayla love having twenty-eight big sisters." |

GS is a school and a community. Admission work helps students and families get to know our school—it’s great fun to be a part of this process! Helping students and families see the interconnectedness between our academics, athletics, arts and service is a great privilege. People who live and learn here grow into who they are meant to be." |

I am ready to assist with any information you may need to help you through the application process, and I also schedule tours and interviews for prospective students and their families. And, as the events coordinator, I look forward to seeing you at our Open House in the fall and/or better yet, at the Celebration for Accepted Students in the spring." |
"Being a part of the George School Admission Office presents a new and exciting opportunity for me. The moment I stepped on campus it was clear to me that the George School community is dynamic, welcoming, and vibrant. I feel fortunate to be a part of the work we do here." |

"I have been at George School since 1990, and I am ready to answer any questions that you may have regarding the financial aid or application processes. I have been fortunate enough to have my children graduate from here. Having witnessed them blossom into caring adults, I know what a truly special place George School is. The academics more than prepared them for college, but what was most impactful was their teachers challenging them to open their minds and think outside the box." |
Other Roles at GS: George School Parent (Emily '06)
"As an Admission Interviewer I think that I have the best job in the world as I get to meet and talk with interesting and passionate young men and women on a daily basis. As a parent of a former George School graduate (Emily '06) who had an amazing and transformative experience here as a student and an athlete, it is easy for me to share with these young people my enthusiasim and respect for all that this great community has to offer. I feel extremely fortunate to have spent the majority of my career working in Quaker institutions where kindness and respect are taught and exemplified in every day life." |
"Joining the Admission team at George School has been a wonderful and welcoming experience for me and for my family. I was drawn to this tight-knit community for its warmth, its energy, and its remarkable people. I enjoy working with students and families as they consider their education plans. Moreover, as a former student-athlete at a local boarding school, I understand the excitement and the challenges that families are facing." |
Other Roles at GS: MLK Day Planning Committee Member, UMOJA Faculty Sponsor, Academic Advisor, George School Parent (Jarron Speller '09)
Past Roles: Dorm Head, Coach—girls' varsity and developmental basketball and girls' varsity lacrosse
"It has been a pleasure to be a part of the George School community for many years. Every year I have had a different role here, but it is a place that will always feel like home. Working in the Admission Office as an interviewer and specifically as the director of diversity recruitment gives me daily opportunities to meet students and families from many diverse backgrounds and countries and to ensure that they, too, may come to call this place home." |
