Anderson Scholarships

The application deadline for this scholarship is March 1.

Each year, Anderson Scholarships of $15,000 are awarded to four new boarding students, one of whom must be a Quaker. To be an Anderson Scholar, you must be socially involved, respectful towards others, and committed to academic excellence. We look at each area to see what you've achieved. And while we hold Anderson Scholars to the highest possible standards, it is to our constant delight and dismay, that there are many more than four students who are indeed fine enough to be called Anderson Scholars, year after year.

In brief, we look at:

1. Academic Achievement
You must have at least a B+ average.

2. Community Involvement

What have you done to help others—at school, at your religious institution, or in your community generally?

3. Potential for Leadership

You should demonstrate how you are a positive role model who has concern for others, and respects the rules and values of your school.

Your Anderson Scholarship will be renewed annually, provided you continue to demonstrate your great Anderson Scholarship qualities. You can also apply for financial aid, but scholarships and financial aid together can't exceed the cost of full tuition.
