Tuition and Fees

Let's make a deal. We promise to be totally honest about what things cost (for instance, by putting our tuition and fees in a nice, easy to find, totally transparent part of our website), you promise not to read those numbers without reading our financial aid and scholarship pages.

For the 2010-2011 academic year:

Boarding Students — $42,920
Includes tuition, room and board, and some materials/lab fees. Books and school supplies are an additional cost.

Day Students — $30,850
Includes tuition, all meals, and some materials/lab fees. Books and school supplies are an additional cost.

Additional fees for English as a Second Language (ESL) students:
International Student Orientation: $1,890
ESL Courses: $1,355 per course (maximum 4 courses)

Additional expenses:
Textbooks and supplies usually cost about $500 per year. Required athletic equipment and clothing can cost up to $200 and students can expect to spend up to $750 on miscellaneous supplies and entertainment.

Students are charged additional fees for Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) exams. In 2009-2010, students who take at least one IB examination are charged a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $135. Additional examinations are $92 each.
