Visual arts courses at George School—ceramics, communication design, painting and drawing, photography, video production, and woodworking & furniture design—let you develop new views of the world.

But not just in your head. No, you create tangible works that other people can read or ponder, sit on or pour tea from. Put together the yearbook or report for The Curious George.  Film a video documentary or paint portraits of Ugandans.

And you can ramp up any visual arts discipline into the International Baccalaureate Program. It'll be more accelerated and include seminars on art history and art criticism. You'll also visit museums, galleries, and lectures.

Many art classes exhibit their work too—here at George School, or maybe at a local gallery. And our Portfolio Preparation class (also offered as AP) begins to ready you for an art career. In it, you'll get a corner of a studio to call your own. And who knows what that gooseneck light over the drafting table will illuminate.
