George School @ Jumper Show

On October 2, the equestrian team ventured to the Bucks County Horse Park for the Fall Jumper Classic. The Varsity Team competed and JV Team came along to support and assist the Varsity team. We had 5 students who competed in the Horse Show. Katie Kogut competed on her own Princess Ariel in the Low Schooling Jumpers and placed 5th in her second class and 4th in her stake class. Alex Ulin competed on George School's own Flash Tone in the Level 0 Jumpers and placed 2nd in her first class and 1st in her second class. Will Bryer competed on his own Walking in Memphis in the Child/Adult Jumpers. Meghan Troup competed on her own Together at Last in the Child/Adult Jumpers and placed 5th her her stake class. DeAnna Meckling competed on her own Casanova in the Child/Adult Jumpers and placed 2nd in her first and second class and was 3rd in her stake class. All in all we had a very productive day at the Bucks County Horse Park. Special thanks to the JV Team for helping our Varsity Team and showing great school spirit!

George School JV @ Combined Test

The junior varsity team competed at The Starter Horse Trials/Combined Test on October the 9. This event was held at the Bucks County Horse Park in Ottsville, PA. The weather was great at the show. The horses and students preformed very well. Toni Ekert competed on George School's own Blackjack in the Starter Combined Test and placed 4th overall. Sara Cohen competed on George School's own Hugs and Kisses in the Elementary Combined Test and placed 3rd overall. Olivia Hayden competed on George School's own Blackjack in the Elementary Combined Test and placed 2nd overall. Claire Rickerman competed on George School's own Tuff Stuff in the Dressage Only class and placed 12th. Emma Sio competed on George School's own Star Struck in the Dressage Only class and placed 11th. Francesca Annunziato competed on George School's own Hugs and Kisses in the Dressage Only class and placed 8th. Overall it was a great day! Special thanks to the varsity team for coming with us to help and cheer on the JV team.

George School @ Huntington Valley Hunt

On Sunday, April 15 the varsity team ventured to Fox Heath Farms for the Huntington Valley Hunt Horse Show, their first horse show of the season. Though the weather was overcast our spirits were good and the weather did hold off for us. Julie Kleiner competed on her own My Better Haf in the Low Schooling Jumpers and placed 3rd in the first class, 5th in the second class and 4th in the third class. Alex Ulin competed on GS's own Killian's Irish Red in the Low Schooling Jumpers and placed 5th in the first class and 6th in the second class. Margaux Walson competed on GS's own Flash Tone in the Low Schooling Jumpers and placed 6th in the first class. Will Bryer competed on his own Walking in Memphis in the Low Schooling Jumpers and Katie Kogut competed in GS's own Blackjack in the Low Schooling Jumpers as well. Special thanks to the JV Equestrian Team for coming along to the show to help the Varsity Team and cheer them on.

George School @ Jentri Stables: Junior Varsity Show

On Sunday April 29, the junior jarsity jeam ventured to JenTri Stables for their horse show with the varsity team along to help and cheer them on. Though it was a little chilly in the morning, the sun was shining and the JV team was excited to show. The whole team competed in the Lesson Mount Division.
Francesca Annunziato did a great job on "Anytime Soon" placing 6th in the first flat class, 5th in the third flat class and 5th in the over fences class. Katya Bentsa did a great job as well on "Blackjack" placing 5th in the first flat class, 3rd in the second flat class, 2nd in the third flat class and 3rd in the over fences class. Olivia Hayden did a wonderful job on "Hugs and Kisses" placing 2nd in the first flat class, winning the second flat class, placing 2nd in the third flat class and taking 2nd in the over fences class. Olivia was Reserve Champion for the overall division, meaning she was second best in the whole division. Sara Cohen did a fantastic job on "What about Bob" winning the first and third flat class, placing 2nd in the the second flat class and winning her over fences class. Sara was Champion for the overall division, meaning she was ranked highest in the division for the day.
It was a great horse show with George School dominating! Congratulations to the JV team!

George School @ Schooling Horse Trials

On Sunday, May 13 the varsity team went to the Bucks County Horse Park to compete in the Schooling Horse Trails. We couldn't have asked for better weather. Will Bryer, Alex Ulin, and Katie Kogut competed in the Elementary Division I. Julie Kleiner and Margaux Walson competed in the Elementary Division II. The day consisted of three different phases for all of the competitors; a dressage phase, a stadium phase and a cross country phase. All of the phases get factored together for an overall score and placing. Alex Ulin who competed on GS's own Killian's Irish Red finished 2nd overall in her division. Will Bryer who competed on his own Walking in Memphis finished 4th overall. Katie Kogut who competed on GS's own Flash Tone finished 6th overall. Julie Kleiner who competed on her own My Better Haf finished 4th overall in her division and Margaux Walson who competed on GS's own Blackjack finished 8th overall. Everyone did a great job and it was a wonderful end to our season. Special thanks to th JV Equestrian team for all their help this term at the horse shows.
