Stevens twins go out winners

Liz and Emily Stevens have shared a lot in their years together at The George School. But the identical twin sisters had never shared the experience of playing on a championship team. That changed on a glorious autumn afternoon, when most of the region was celebrating the Phillies’ triumph in the World Series.

Cougars trip up Tigers in Friends League final

This fall, the girls’ soccer team at Germantown Friends School won every league game they played – up until last Friday afternoon. The sole blemish on their Friends School League ledger came in the playoff finals, as visiting George School claimed a 2-1 victory and the FSL title for 2008.

GS Student Recognized as Outstanding

Morgan Humphrey '09 is one of approximately 3,100 Outstanding Participants in the National Achievement Scholarship Program, an annual academic competition created specifically to honor Black American high school students. Morgan is enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, a rigorous and challenging curriculum offered at George School.

Cougars put up fight, but drop rivalry game

George School jumped out to a 12-point lead in a shootout of a first quarter against the Independence League champions before falling, 36-20, on the final game of the season for both teams.
