Issued: Wednesday, February 11, 2004

Three George School seniors are among 15,000 students nationwide who have been selected as finalists for The National Merit Scholarship Program.

Max Klein, Jaclyn Seelagy and Hannah Shaw are the George School students competing as finalists this year. The three are vying to be among the 8,000 high school students who will receive a Merit Scholarship this year. Each winner will receive a $2,500 single-payment scholarship award.

All winners of Merit Scholarship awards will be chosen from the finalist group, based on their abilities, skills, and accomplishments.

Founded in 1955, The National Merit Scholarship Program is a privately-financed academic competition for recognition and scholarships.
