George School Spanish teacher Jo Vasquez was featured in the Bucks County edition of the weekly newspaper My Community Trend on October 22, 2008. The article states, “With her broad smile and infectious laugh, Vasquez is a genuine, fun-loving woman who has an innate passion for what she does.” Several students, along with Language Department Head Chéri Mellor and Dean of Faculty and Director of Studies Scott Spence, are quoted in the article, which describes Jo’s teaching approach as “one that extends beyond textbooks and tests.” Jo currently teaches Spanish 1, Intensive Spanish 2, Spanish 3, and Intensive Spanish 3. George School’s Language Department offers comprehensive programs in Chinese, French, Latin, and Spanish.
