George School’s fall admission open house is scheduled on Sunday, October 26, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Activities include student-guided campus tours, department and program displays, and opportunities to speak with faculty and current parents. Faculty members from all departments will be on hand to answer questions about academics, including the
International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement programs, creative and performing arts, and athletic programs.
“There's so much that makes George School special—small classes, great teaching, an amazing campus with a diverse student body, and an educational community that is both welcoming and challenging, supportive and encouraging,” said Elyse Cantor, head of George School’s parent organization. “Open House is a great time to experience the spirit of George School.”
For 2008-09, George School admitted the largest cohort of new students in a decade. This year’s freshman class includes an author of an award-winning play that was performed on Broadway, an entrepreneur who sold products he made from duct tape through his own website, and an athlete who was the all-time leading soccer goal scorer for his middle school.
