Picture Yourself at George School Fall Open House on Sunday, October 25, 2009 George School’s fall admission
Open House is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Activities include student-guided campus tours, department and program displays, and opportunities to speak with faculty and current parents. Faculty members from all departments will be on hand to answer questions about academics—including the
International Baccalaureate and
Advanced Placement programs—creative and performing arts, and athletic programs.
“There's so much that makes George School special — small classes, great teaching, an amazing campus with a diverse student body, and an educational community that is both welcoming and challenging, supportive and encouraging,” said Sara Pinkus '77, head of George School’s parent organization. “Open House is a great time to experience the spirit of George School.”
For 2009-2010, George School admitted the largest cohort of new students in a decade. Our students come from twenty-one states and thirty-four countries. Almost 23 percent are foreign citizens, 25 percent are students of color, 13.5 percent are Quaker, and 47 percent receive financial aid.
