Edwin Marks—who teaches social studies to the Upper School at William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania—participated in George School’s Global Service Program in July 2009. After two days of training workshops, he traveled to China to help rebuild the community of Zhongba, a rural village in Sichuan province that was devastated by the 2008 earthquake.
