Career Workshops Planned for Students

Issued: Friday, December 17, 2010

The Career Workshop Committee of the George School Parents Association has begun plans for this year’s career workshops, which will take place in the spring. Held annually during an assembly timeslot, career workshops give students a chance to attend a career session of their choice.

The committee is currently seeking submissions from alumni and parents interested in speaking to students about their careers. Participants should be enthusiastic about their career choices and comfortable speaking to a group. Speakers are selected based upon student interest in their career field. Participants need to arrive on campus at 9:15 a.m. and are invited to stay for lunch following their short presentation.

Please contact John Harkins, parent and Career Workshop chairperson, if you are interested in being a speaker or would like to nominate another person. John can be reached at harks271@comcast.net or at 215.493.1962.
