The first Parents Association evening gathering of the 2010-2011 year is scheduled for Tuesday, September 21. It will begin with a light dinner in the George School Meetinghouse at 5:45 p.m., followed by the Parents Association meeting at 6:45 p.m. in the Anderson Library Conference Room.

The meeting is an opportunity for parents to learn about the beginning of the school year from Head of School Nancy Starmer and other speakers and to be introduced to the chairs of the Parents Association volunteer committees.

“Parents especially enjoy this first meeting of the new year because it gives them the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and to meet new ones,” said Odie LeFever, director of advancement marketing and Parents Association liaison. “They also enjoy the opportunity to meet with Head of School Nancy Starmer on a more informal basis.”

For those unable to come to campus, the meeting will be webcast at 6:30 p.m. with a slideshow including photographs of the George School events in Asia this past June and back-to-school activities in late August and early September.
