Kellie Edelblut ’11 of New Hope, Pennsylvania, a member of George School's varsity golf team, won the Girls U-19 crown in the International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. "Edelblut led after the first round by one stroke and with the second round, increased her lead to 13 going into the third and final round at the famed Ocean Course," reports Matt Snyder, tournament coordinator at the IJGT. Kellie, who played in the number one position for George School most of last spring, also set a new low score—76—for herself. In Matt's press release, Kellie said, “I chose not to focus on the entire round, rather I focused on each individual shot. I decided to accept the challenges and just keep on playing.”
