George School Celebrates Family

This weekend it is all about family at George School as students host their brothers and sisters, cousins and young friends, for sibling activities and welcome their grandparents and special friends for Sunday activities. From Friday, April 23 until Sunday, April 25, the weekend is packed with events for all ages including a big kid, little kid carnival, movie nights, arts and crafts, a ping pong tournament, kite making, a bonfire with s’mores, live music, and pool time.
On Sunday, April 25, students welcome their grandparents and special friends for Grandparents Day
. The program begins at 10:45 a.m. at meeting for worship in the George School meetinghouse, followed by lunch in the Main Dining Room. In the afternoon, grandparents may attend “Learning Well and Living Green” to learn how George School’s new green library advances student learning and exemplifies environmental stewardship. Guided tours of the building follow the presentation. Program options include a self-guided historic walking tour as well as the opportunity to pose for family photos.
