Newspaper Highlights Recovery of Coach John Gleeson

The Bucks County Courier Times interviewed George School teacher and coach John Gleeson ’65 about his recovery from an accident that occurred in May at a George School baseball practice, and his recovery from other health issues that emerged after the incident. John is scheduled to resume coaching and teaching this fall. Read more.

Members of the school community who administered emergency care to John after the accident were honored at a Philadelphia Phillies game on July 24, 2010. At the game, the Phillies presented the State Farm Good Neighbor Award to George School students Tyler Campellone ’12 and Rachel Simononis ’12, along with athletic trainer Juana Bivins, for helping to “save the life of their head varsity baseball coach John Gleeson.” John and team member Jake Skolnick ’10 were also in attendance.
