The Intelligencer reports that Shauna Betof, George School’s girls’ assistant athletic director and physical education coordinator, will add “girls’ varsity soccer coach” to her title for the 2010-2011 sports season. She takes over from Tom Griffith who retired after eleven seasons.
“I love soccer and I love to coach, so I feel very fortunate to be able to do something I feel so passionately about,” Shauna says in the article. “My plan is to work hard with the team and hopefully continue the success the program has had.”
Shauna has been the George School junior varsity soccer coach for the past four seasons. She lives with husband Ari ’98 (director of enrollment management and strategic planning), and daughters Anya and Kayla (a Butterfly at the George School Children’s Center), on campus in Westwood, the girls’ freshmen dorm.
