Issued: Friday, October 15, 2010

George School is proud to announce that the following ten seniors have been recognized as Commended Students in the 2011 National Merit Scholarship Program: Braelyn Bankoff, Dillon Bowman, Jacob Folk, Jacob Grudberg, Sara Harvey, Ryan Krocker, Andrea Lindsay, Devon Pinkus, Willa Rowan, and Nathan Small.

The students received this honor based on their performance on the 2009 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Commended Students scored among the top 5 percent of the approximately 1.5 million juniors in United States high schools who entered the 2011 National Merit Program by taking the 2009 PSAT/NMSQT.

The students received letters of commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic promise. Begun in 1955, the National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships.
