If you make a gift on or before December 31, 2010 and you itemize deductions on your 2010 income tax statement, you could receive a tax deduction for your donation. Please keep in mind that the gift date, as used for tax purposes, is generally the postmark date of cash or checks mailed to George School. For donations by credit card, the gift date is generally the day the charge is posted to the card holder’s account.
