The varsity boys’ basketball team earned a victory against Morrisville High School on Saturday, December 17, 2011.

“George School overcame a slow start Saturday and ultimately defeated a local rival,” said Jean-Paul Lautenschlager of phillyBurbs.com.

“We had a halftime pep talk. My coach said just pick up the intensity and get ready to box out,” George School junior guard Sekou Kaba said in the article. Sekou led the Cougars in scoring with 16 points.

Captains Trevor Stone ’12 and Sam Kauker ’12 each added 8 points, while Jeremy Tyson ’12 and Chris May ’13 each contributed 5 points.

“Our defensive intensity is what sealed the win for us. If we can continue to hold our opponent to under 40 points, we are going to win a lot of games this year,” said Coach John Stevens. Read more.
