“The football team isn’t the only program benefiting from the new turf field at George School,” reports Karen Sangillo of the
Bucks County Courier Times.
The
varsity girls’ field hockey team played their first game on the new field against Lower Moreland High School on October 15, 2011.
“It was really cool, especially since it was the first game ever on the turf,” said George School junior right wing Rowan Holloway in the article. “The turf is really fast, so it’s a completely different game. We practiced on it the day before the game, but we’re still getting used to it.”
Rowan is looking forward to next year.
“Right now, we have good grass skills. We’re working on our skills for turf so that we’ll be good on both. I can’t wait to see what we can do next year,” Rowan said.
