GS Student Helps Get Newtown Ready for Halloween

Issued: Monday, October 24, 2011Author: Jeff WernerPublication: Bucks Local News

“Newtown is ready for Halloween thanks to a small army of artists who spent a busy Saturday transforming store windows on State and Sycamore streets into a canvas of ghostly masterpieces,” reports Jeff Werner of the Bucks Local News.

The paintings included one by George School junior Kelsey Taylor, who created a masterpiece on the window of Frank DeRito’s men’s store on State Street.

"Generation after generation has enjoyed this long standing Bucks County tradition,” said Jackie Kaizar, who helped organize this year’s window painting activity. “Mix together our beautiful autumn foliage, the ambiance of historic Newtown and happy families painting the windows of State and Sycamore Streets, and you have a 'can't miss' event."
