George School opened its Friends League campaign with an exciting 1-0 victory over Abington Friends School on Friday, September 16, 2011.

“Gabe Haug scored near the end of the first half and George School held on for a 1-0 win at Abington Friends,” reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.

“Noah Kimelheim ’13 curled an accurate kick to the head of Gabe Haug ’12 at the back post. A leap, a nod, and the ball bounced into the back of the net,” said coach Paul Machemer ’65.
