Day of Service Honors Legacy of Dr. King

Driven by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s message of “Everybody can be great because anybody can serve,” George School students, faculty, and staff spent a day in service to local communities. To celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King, George School organized service opportunities at thirty-two sites throughout Philadelphia, Bucks County, and New Jersey.

George School students, faculty, and staff will spend Monday, January 16, 2012 in service to local communities to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King encouraged people from all walks of life to come together to address important community issues.

“Occupy North Pole” Dance Promotes Harmony

Each year, George School dance students and their teacher collaborate to produce a show that is entertaining for the audience. This year’s theme, Occupy North Pole, can be seen as a modern-day version of A Christmas Carol, where Ebenezer Scrooge’s heart is touched by a child.

You Can’t Take It with You Premieres at George School

Moss Hart and George Kaufman’s zany comedy, You Can’t Take It with You, opens on Friday November 4 and Saturday November 5 at 8:00 p.m. in Walton Auditorium. The performances are free and open to the public.

George School Hosts Pioneering Alumnus Julian Bond ’57

George School is proud to welcome civil rights pioneer H. Julian Bond to campus for an all-school assembly and discussions with students and faculty on Friday, September 9, 2011. Julian, a member of the George School Class of 1957, will be interviewed by Mark K. Updegrove ’80, director of the Lyndon B. Johnson Library in Austin, TX since 2009.
