“At George School, my teachers respect me. Their respect encourages me to work my hardest in all my studies.”
Why did you choose a boarding school?
I decided to attend George School because I wanted to go to a school where I would be challenged. I live in a rural part of northwestern Pennsylvania and didn’t have many local options. Here I enjoy working my hardest in all of my studies and, even though it's challenging, George School is set up to help you.
Prefects are a big part of dorm life and they love to play the role of big sister or brother. I go talk to my favorite prefect all the time, even if I don't have a problem. Sometimes, I like to just lie on her bed and chat.
Hall teachers also love it when you come to talk and every teacher wants you to be happy, so don't be afraid to ask a question or share your problems. Everyone needs—and has—someone to listen to them.
The school's equestrian program also was a significant part of my decision to attend George School. Bonnie Takakjy, my equestrian coach, is awesome and I have learned so much.
