Conference Day and Night 2012


Please plan to join us for Conference Night, Monday January 30 and Conference Day, Friday February 3. Attend a variety of morning activities and workshops, and meet with teachers. The information about these and other activities is listed below. 

You will be able to schedule conferences with teachers or advisors in late December via our secure portal. Check back for more details.

Learn how students and parents can work with Source Institute coaches at George School to improve personal strength and conditioning. Topics will include injury prevention, motivational enhancement coaching, and assessing your child's overall wellness.

Teacher Conferences (10 minutes each)
If you are not able to set up conferences in advance, you may arrange for phone conferences or you may set up appointments to meet on another day that is convenient for the teachers and you. Please feel free to call the teachers and advisors during the school week—Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.—throughout the year.

Course Planning Conferences (15 minutes each)
If you are the parent of a freshman or sophomore and you have not talked to your child’s advisor about long-range course planning, you might want to arrange for a course planning conference with the director of studies or the registrar. For additional course planning details, please attend the appropriate morning workshop (Planning a Course of Study for Freshmen or Planning a Course of Study for Sophomores) or visit http://www.georgeschool.org/curriculum.

Mid-Winter Break
Mid-winter break begins after a student’s last school commitment on Friday, February 3. There are no classes on Monday, February 6, or Tuesday, February 7.

Boarders return to campus by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7. Classes resume at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8.
