DeadlinesMay 1. The Returning Student Physical form for 2012-2013 is now available. Physicals must be performed between March 1 and August 1, 2012. There is a $50 late fee for any returning student physical received after August 1.
May 21. The deadline for applying for independent summer service projects is Monday. Students may do a sixty-five hour service project—a graduation requirement—any time after completing their sophomore year.
July 16 and August 1. Registration 2012-2013. A link to the Registration Checklist for 2012-2013 is posted on the home page of the Parent tab on our secure portal. Please note that proof of student health insurance is due July 16 and Returning Student Physical forms are due by August 1.
July 16. Proof of student health insurance is required. If we do not receive verification of your child’s private health insurance by July 16, 2012, he/she will be automatically enrolled in the ten-month UnitedHealthcare plan offered by George School and you will be billed for the $1,790 fee covering August 15, 2012 to June 15, 2013.

May 11. Honor Coach Bob Geissinger at a dinner event on Friday. Read more.
May 11 to 13. Parents and students are invited to participate in Alumni Weekend activities. Read more.
May 12. Celebrate the dedication of Cougar Track and Cougar Field on Saturday afternoon at 4:15 p.m.
May 15. The last Parents Association meeting for the 2011-2012 year is held in the Anderson Library Conference Room on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. All meetings are webcast. A light meal is available from 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. in the meetinghouse.
May 17-19. The spring musical performance, Pippin (by Roger O. Hirson, music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz), is performed on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in Walton Center.
May 20. The Cougar Classic golf tournament is at the Middletown Country Club in Langhorne, PA on Sunday. The event helps to raise funds for the Athletic Department. Friends of the school, students, alumni, faculty and staff, as well as parents of current and past students are all welcome to participate.
May 24. Student work from the Video Production classes is showcased on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in Walton Center.
May 25. The Senior Parent Reception at 6:30 p.m. at Sunnybanke is hosted by Head of School Nancy Starmer and the Parents Association.
May 25. Senior Dinner Dance for seniors and their dates.
May 26. Commencement meeting for worship on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
May 27. Commencement on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Visit our website for information about the senior dinner dance, commencement, and other end-of-school-year activities for juniors and seniors.
May 28. Memorial Day, no classes.
June 4 to 7. Final exams. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors leave after last exam.

August 20. Preseason begins on Monday for invited varsity potential athletes for soccer, football, tennis, cross country, and field hockey.

RemindersAcademic Honors. See the names of students who made the Honor Roll and Head of School’s List for Term 2.
Accounts Online. Good news! You no longer need to log in separately to GS Accounts Online. Your statements and online payment options are now available in the portal using your parent portal login information. Payments also can be mailed to George School Business Office, PMB 4482, 1690 Newtown Langhorne Rd, Newtown PA 18940-2414.
All-School Photo. The popular panoramic all-school photograph is a wonderful way to remember your student's time at George School. Samples are in the bookstore. To purchase the all-school photo or individual class photos, order online at panfoto.com.
Annual Fund. The Parent Annual Fund Committee goal is to reach 100 percent participation; gifts of all sizes are appreciated. Please consider making a pledge today and sending your payment before June 30. If you have any questions or would like to make a pledge of support, please contact the director of annual giving.
Assemblies. Parents are welcome to attend assemblies on Fridays at 10:25 a.m. in Walton Center. Check the calendar for program information.
Birthday Cakes for Boarders. Order a birthday cake for your child. Forms are online.
Bookstore. Visit our online bookstore this month for your favorite t-shirt, baseball hat, or shorts.
Bookstore Volunteers Needed. If you would be interested in helping in the bookstore please contact Kathie Bentley.
Bus Transportation Schedule. If If your school district provides bus transportation to George School, you need to confirm that they are in service during holidays when we hold classes. Visit the transportation page for contact information.

Ground Transportation Information. If your child is traveling and needs ground transportation assistance to campus, please visit the transportation page for contact information.
Parents Association Archives. To view recordings of Parents Association webcast meetings, go to our secure portal—my.georgeschool.org—enter your password, and login. Then select Parents Association.
Personal Fitness. The SOURCE Institute for Human Performance at George School offers individual training sessions, small group training, and team training to parents and students. Please call 215.579.6698 or email to schedule your first complimentary session.

Student Bank Accounts. Please remind your child to report to the bank to update the status of his or her account. Underclassmen with a TD Bank ATM card, cash, or checkbook may store these items in the Student Bank over the summer if they will not be used. Summer Programs. Various programs are held during the summer at George School. Visit our website for more information about the George School Day Camp, Summer Minds academic programs, and many other campus activities.
Volunteer at the Beverage Center. Please sign up to help serve in the Anderson Library Class of 1983 beverage center during Term 3. Contact Penny Haff by email or at 917.306.4956. Weekday shifts are Monday through Friday, 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m. It’s a great way to meet students and staff.
Weekend Activities. On Wednesday afternoons the Deans’ Office posts information about weekend activities and special events.
