Parents Association Letter to China Parents Association
On behalf of the George School Parents Association, we are delighted to send greetings to the George School China Parents Association. We have been very encouraged to know of your interest in developing stronger links between parents in your country and ours, and in taking part in the George School community. Despite geographical distance, and cultural differences, we are all united in our interest in our children’s education and personal development, and in our deep desire to work together to support George School.
One of George School’s core values is diversity—an understanding that we are all strengthened by taking part in a community made up of many different kinds of people. We embrace the opportunities our children have to live and work together with students from many other countries. We want you, our fellow parents, to know that we will do all that we can to help your children experience friendships with children from the United States and many other parts of the world. We see the benefit of this exchange in our own children and are glad that they have these enriching experiences also.
We also appreciate that children so far from home need the care and attention of our entire community—teachers, fellow students, and parents. We are very pleased to have a chance to reach out to your children and to help them feel at home in the United States.
We would also like to reach out to you, to encourage links between your association and ours, and to meet you when you are visiting Newtown. We look forward very much to warm and constructive relationships between us all personally, and as parents associations.
With warm good wishes,
Sara Pinkus, President
