JOHN M. GEORGE SOCIETY

In 1993, the centennial year, the George School Committee established the John M. George Society to recognize, honor, and thank those who continue in the generous tradition of the school's founding benefactor.

John M. George Society members are those who have created a provision in their wills or estate plans to benefit George School and who have informed the school of this commitment. These provisions include bequest intentions, gifts which provide a life income (such as charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, and pooled income fund investments), gifts of real estate with retained use for life, gifts of life insurance benefits, and other deferred gifts.

John M. George Society members will be recognized each year in the school's Annual Report. (Requests for anonymity will be honored).

If you have already made provision for George School, we hope that you will share those plans with us. If you have yet to do so and need more information, we will be glad to help you decide which of the various options for deferred giving will best suit your needs and intentions.

If you have any questions, please contact Director of Planned Giving Andy Popkin at 215.579.6563 or by sending email to GSPlannedGiving@georgeschool.org.

THE IMPORTANCE OF TESTAMENTARY AND OTHER PLANNED GIFTS

For 100 years, individuals like John M. George have thoughtfully provided for the support of George School in their estate plans.

These testamentary and other deferred gifts are critical to the growth of the school's endowment. Income from endowment, which contributes significantly to the school's annual operating budget, helps George School continue to be an exceptional educational institution by providing scholarship funds, augmenting faculty salaries, and supporting students' service projects and work camp experiences.

The John M. George Society honors the vision of those who have chosen to support the school in its second century through planned gifts to its endowment.

We value the foresight and the concern for the long-term welfare of the school that members of the John M. George Society exhibit.
