George School is committed to being a diverse community. International students make up about 20 percent of our total student body. Over the past decade, George School’s international students have come from over 85 different countries.
Some of our international students are native English speakers or non-native speakers who are fluent in English. If you are not a native English speaker, we need to determine your appropriate level of English study. Therefore, if your primary language of academic instruction for the past four or more years has not been English, you will need to complete the supplemental requirements for non-native English speakers.
There are usually only six or seven openings for new students from any one country or foreign language group. This means that sometimes there are no spaces for new students in the upper grades. Please contact the Admission Office before applying for 10th or 11th grade. We will be happy to advise you about the availability of space for students of your language group.
If you are a student from Mainland China who is interested in applying to George School for the 2018-2019 academic year, you will need to complete a preliminary interview with Vericant.
George School accepts two forms of English proficiency testing (TOEFL and IELTS). Please register for one of these tests and have the results sent directly to George School by the testing organization. George School’s TOEFL code: 8138.
