Each year George School invites three artists to display their work in one of two galleries on campus, the Walton Center Gallery or the Mollie Dodd Anderson Library Class of 1956 Gallery. In addition to the show, the school hosts receptions and artist lectures for each exhibition. Past displays have included mixed media artwork, photography, painting, and more.
The first three exhibitions of the school year are open to all artists and are six to eight weeks in length. Individual and group exhibitions may include two or three-dimensional works in all media, including installations.
If you would like to be considered for a show, please submit the following:
Ten images of your work, attached to an email, sized at 6×9” with a 72 dpi resolution. The accompanying description must include a slide list with title, size, medium, date of completion, and price. In addition, please provide a resume and artist statement. Submissions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for submissions is October 31 in order to be considered for the following school year. Once the deadline has passed, proposals are accepted on an ongoing basis and may be considered for the next year. Each submission is reviewed by the Exhibitions Committee, and the artist(s) will be notified as soon as this process is complete.
