The physical education program encourages students to value physical fitness as an important part of ones overall health. Classes meet three days per week and are designed to provide students with general physical conditioning, instruction in technique, and game-playing experience in a variety of individual and team activities, including life-time sports.
Each class begins with a period of physical endurance, flexibility, and core training. Running, small games, warm-up drills, and stretching will help to develop these areas of physical conditioning.
It is hoped that the students will enjoy and value the benefits of lifelong physical activities. The classes are coeducational and vary in size and skill level. Physical education classes also develop skills such as sportsmanship, confidence building, cooperation, and teamwork.
