Cougars Post 51-21 Victory

The George School varsity girls’ basketball team took on STEMCivics from Ewing, New Jersey on their home court on Thursday, December 15, 2016, and didn’t disappoint. In fact, the Cougars found their groove on offense and scored a season high 51 points, clinching their third win of the season 51-21.

The high scorer of the game was co-captain Shannon Cunningham ’17 with a season high of fourteen points. Val LaVar ’17 contributed eight points and Claryn Troup ’19 also dropped in eight points. Not to be outdone, Melanie Fisch ’19 contributed three points and Ashleigh Azan ’19 contributed four points and double digit rebounds.  Khaya Zungu ’18 had her first points of the season.

The team travels to Stuart Country Day School on Friday, December 16, 2016, for a non-league contest. They play Friends’ Central School on Friday, January 6, 2017.
