Ryan Oster ’19

Dickinson College
Ryan discovered a passion for woodworking and rekindled a love of baseball.

What new experiences did you enjoy at George School?

At George School, I  branched out and created new opportunities for myself. I was able to make friends and meet people who came from everywhere and had unique backgrounds. I took a woodworking class, which was new to me, but it became one of my favorites. Also, before attending George School, I had stopped playing baseball for three years, but through the help of my supportive coaches, I was able to rekindle my love for the sport. Coach George Long pushed me to get better at my sport and as a person. He additionally showed me how putting myself into uncomfortable situations can lead to growth.
