Second Annual George School Day of Giving

The theme for this year’s event is “make an impact”. Throughout the day, George School will be posting and sharing videos and images that reflect the impact gifts to the Annual Fund have on George School.

Mark your calendar! Friday, February 10 is the second annual George School Day of Giving. All gifts and pledges made that day will support the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund is a yearly effort to raise unrestricted funds to help bridge the gap between tuition and endowment income and total operating expenses. Donors may designate their gift to the arts, athletics, faculty support, technology, campus beautification, student life, or financial aid. Gifts may also be made in honor of a family member, classmate, teacher, or coach.

The theme for this year’s event is “make an impact”. Throughout the day, George School will be posting and sharing videos and images that reflect the impact gifts to the Annual Fund have on George School. Students, parents, and alumni will be making calls to reach out to the extended George School community and ask that they participate in Day of Giving.

“Our goal is 400 donors,” said Brooke Buchanan ’87 p’19, annual fund director. “The goal is ambitious but given the love and loyalty of our community, we are hopeful that we can achieve and ideally surpass our goal!”

If the school reaches its goal, it will unlock a generous $30,000 gift from an anonymous donor. Brooke said, “the donor hopes that their gift, will really help to motivate others.”
