And it’s not one that dorm parent Ioanna Bailey ever thought would be for her. “We are both passionate people,” her husband Mike Bailey explained. “My background is in competitive athletics; Ioanna is a nurturer. The Joy of Getting Involved

Tallying George School Values

Were it not for statistics, Valerie Greaud doesn’t know if she would have found her way to George School. A statistician at heart with a penchant for working with students, a career pivot and class observation at George School in 2003 happened to coincide at a time when the math department was looking to establish a statistics program. Bill Enos, the math department head at the time, hired her… and she’s glad he did.

Scaling New Heights

Walter Stephenson ’08 joined the George School community in 1997 with his family, led by his mom, Molly Stephenson, who retired in 2020 after a 23-year tenure teaching Spanish. Returning to campus as a science teacher years later, Walter has become an integral part of the George School community.

A Bigger Toy Box

Kyle Okraku '26 has been a member of the George School Student Activities Board (SAB) since his freshman year. The group — now 13 students strong — brainstorms, plans and executes weekend activities for day and boarding students

Creating (Imperfect) Art Together

Once he stepped onto the George School campus, Director of Music David Nolan knew it was the place he could plant his roots and make a difference. “I love offering a sanctuary, a space where music kids can make a home away from home for four years. They can hang out, they can learn, they can be creative; and also, they have somebody there who will support and guide them along the way."
