George School has received a transformative $17.75 million gift from an anonymous George School family to be added to the George School endowment in support of Engaged Citizenship coursework and co-curricular student opportunities.
“We are tremendously excited and deeply grateful,”Justin said. “This generous gift will serve as a key step in supporting the integration of our co-curricular student opportunities as consistent, equitable, and deep parts of our learning environment."
Reed Beck '24 and his classmates planted 936 native plants together to create a bio-swale on campus this past spring. With the support of his friends and the Physical Plant staff, the bioswale he created will continue to fill out and bloom — not only adding more beauty on campus, but also providing food and shelter for wildlife in a sustainable way.
A reconnection with a beloved friend is incredibly special. Halaylah Lewis-McGlothan was a Delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders this June on the University of Massachusetts Lowell campus. Halayah joined students from across the country to hear Nobel Laureates and National Medal of Science recipients discuss leading medical research.
A pottery piece by Ceramics and Sculpture teacher Amedeo Salamoni, in collaboration with artist Heidi Kreitchet, has been selected for the 32nd Annual Strictly Functional Pottery National Exhibit in Lancaster, PA.
Margaret Massengill '26 and Michael Mascari '26 did a great job of representing George School at the Mill Street Run in Bristol, PA on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Both took second place while setting personal records.
“George School did a great job in teaching us the importance of contributing positively to our community,” said Shelby Williams ’21. That lesson led her to an internship at the White House during the fall of her junior year at Cornell University.
George School is pleased to welcome Corentha Bradley-Esaw as the new Director of the Children’s Center. Working in early childhood education for over 12 years, Corentha is excited about joining the George School Children’s Center team and collaborating with a strong team of dedicated professionals.
Corentha believes in the importance of building a strong foundation for a child’s future through early childhood education, knowing that the first three years of a child’s life are incredibly important.
Making an impact on a child and their family, and seeing children grow and thrive as young learners, brings her a great sense of purpose.
“I love the little ones, they give you energy, they give you strength,” said Corentha.
As the Student Health and Wellness Center (SHWC) Administrator, Indira Rodrigo helps in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures to keep the campus community healthy—and she does so with genuine care for each individual student. The SHWC is committed to providing quality care to students and promoting a culture of wellness on campus.
“I love our students. I love the people I work with, and I love the community," said Indira.
