The 2024 Boys Cross Country season team finished the season with a strong 6-1 record, placing third in the FSL Championship. Key runners Michael Mascari '26 and Owen Burgess '27 led the team, with Mascari earning a spot on the All-State team after placing seventh at the PAISSA State Meet. The girls’ team was unfortunately plagued by injuries this season. Despite the challenges, standout runner Margaret Massengill placed second in the FSL Championship.

Field Hockey
The varsity field hockey team finished with a strong 7-7-1 record, reaching the FSL semifinals. The team was led by eight seniors whose leadership and dedication were critical to their success.

Golf
In its inaugural season, the fall golf team had a strong start, finishing 3-3 overall and placing ninth in the PAISSA tournament.

Rowing
After completing its first season last spring, the Rowing Team experienced significant growth, doubling in size from 30 to 60 student-athletes. New equipment, additional coaching staff, and a secure boatyard at Core Creek Park contributed to the team’s development. The girls’ team had a standout performance at the Head of the Charles, racing out of the Harvard Women’s Boathouse, while the entire team showed strong results at the Head of the Schuylkill.

Boys Soccer
This season blended challenges and accomplishments for the boys’ soccer team. They opened the season with a 2-4 loss to Perkiomen but quickly rebounded with a 2-2 tie against Germantown Academy and a 3-0 victory over Abington Friends School. Despite tough losses to Westtown and Shipley, the team’s resilience led to wins against ANC and Barrack. Their playoff spot was secured before the final game, but they fell short in the FSL playoffs against Friends Central. Team Captain Sam Tchoumandrine ’25 had a stellar season, scoring 13 goals and finishing his GS career with 36, placing him second in school history. Shahmeer Waseem ’25 was also recognized for his achievements and was named a Phillyburbs.com Athlete of the Week. Sam, Shahmeer, and Conner Jennings all earned all-league honors for their outstanding play this season.

Girls Soccer
The girls’ soccer team faced adversity with injuries and illness but still managed to finish third in the FSL. Four players earned All-League honors.

Girls Tennis
The girls’ tennis team had an emotional end to their season as they said goodbye to five seniors who had led the team for four years. Despite the small roster, the team finished with a solid record, placing third in the FSL.

Volleyball
The volleyball team embraced growth this season, improving their skills and team cohesion despite a challenging record. Highlights included a thrilling five-set victory over ANC and a competitive game against Lawrenceville.
