The Bucks County Courier Times recently named George School students to the fall 2018 Golden Teams, which recognize outstanding high school athletes.
For field hockey, Sanaa Hebron ’22, Eva Kinnel ’20, and Mallory Fritsch ’19 were named to the first team, and Izzy Robinson-Cloete ’20 was named to the second team.
Eva was recognized for her excellent work on both the corner attack and defense teams, and for scoring ten goals this season for George School.
Mallory successfully capped off her four-year career on the varsity girls’ field hockey team. “As the left back, she stopped most attacking threats by the opponent, always coming up with the ball and finishing off with a nice pass to her teammates,” reported the Bucks County Courier Times.
The paper commended Sanaa for an outstanding freshman season. “Sanaa made an impact in her first year at George School, leading the team with nineteen goals and tying for first with ten assists for a team-high forty-eight points. Her speed and determination to score set her apart.”
For the second time, Jeffrey Love ’19 was named to the first team for boys’ cross country. “Jeffrey capped off an outstanding cross country career at George School as a senior, highlighted by a Friends School League championship in a school-record,” reported the Bucks County Courier Times. In addition to taking second at the Pennsylvania Independent Schools championship, Jeffrey was also the top Bucks County runner at the Council Rock Invitational.
Ella Davidyock ’21 and Nora Greer ’19 were also named to the second team for girls’ soccer.
Congratulations to these athletes for their exceptional seasons!
