Athletics
Challenge yourself in ways you may not have even imagined. Find joy in a community of like-minded student athletes. Be supported by coaches who work with you to develop mind, body, and spirit every step of the way.
Becoming a Cougar means developing discipline, teamwork, confidence, and lasting memories. Welcome to the DEN.
We emphasize hard work, mutual respect, and ethical engagement, fostering an environment where students develop character through leadership, collaboration, and resilience.
We are committed to creating a supportive environment where every scholar-athlete has the opportunity to reach beyond what they thought possible, and where success is defined by challenging yourself, supporting your teammates, and realizing the strength of our Cougar spirit.
At George School, we pursue athletics with focus and integrity. Our athletics program is centered around hard work, a commitment to bringing out the best in one another, and the Quaker values of respect and ethical engagement. Our students forge character through leadership, collaboration, and resilience.

Athletic Teams
George School proudly supports 46 teams across 20 different sports, offering a wide range of athletic opportunities for our student-athletes.
All students may participate in George School physical education classes and are encouraged to compete in athletic extracurricular activities in a manner that affirms their gender.
George School recognizes that interscholastic athletic associations and leagues that facilitate competitions may have trans-exclusionary bylaws/regulations. If students are excluded from competitions because of gender by organizations outside the school, George School will advocate for students to be included in competitions.
Athletics at George School is not defined by wins and losses. It is about making athletes better and helping them become their best possible selves on and off the field.Kurt Ruch
