Boys Basketball at George School

George School’s Boys Varsity Basketball team competes in the Friends Schools League (FSL) a respected conference known for its commitment to sportsmanship, integrity and high-level competition among independent schools.

Led by Coach Chris Harris, the program emphasizes personal growth, teamwork and excellence both on and off the court. Student-athletes train and compete in our state-of-the-art Fitness and Athletics Center (FAC), which features a regulation-size court, modern training equipment and spacious spectator seating.

ACCOLADES


  • The Cougars captured their first-ever Friends Schools League (FSL) Championship in 2023, marking a major milestone in the program’s 52-year history. They also earned runner-up honors in the PAISAA State Championship that same season, showcasing their strength on the state level.

  • In 2025, the team returned to the FSL title game, finishing as FSL runner-up.

  • Over the last eight seasons, the program has developed 12 First-Team All-League players.

Meet the Coaches

Chris Harris named Boys Basketball Coach

Varsity Head Coach Chris Harris 

Chris Harris brings extensive experience in coaching, mentorship, and player development across high school, AAU, collegiate and boarding school programs. Before joining George School, he served as Assistant Recruiting Coordinator for Fordham University Men’s Basketball and held roles as Assistant Basketball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director at Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School. Chris has also coached on the national stage as Head Coach for K-Low Elite on the Adidas 3SSB circuit. His background includes time at Woodstock Academy and The MacDuffie School, giving him a strong understanding of boarding school athletics. Committed to fostering growth on and off the court, Coach Harris is excited to build on George School’s basketball tradition and help student-athletes reach their full potential.

Junior Varsity Head Coach Bez Wallace

Bez Wallace is the JV Head Coach and serves as George School’s Associate Director of Admission for Multicultural Recruitment. Bez previously spent two years as a boys’ varsity assistant, helping lead George School to its first Friends League (FSL) Championship and state final appearance. He has also coached at Solebury School, Oldfields School and Perkiomen School. Bez believes in the importance of his team developing a fearless mindset and showing up every day with effort, energy and enthusiasm.
