Accomplishments

Tiffany Taylor brings extensive experience and a passion for equestrian sports to George School. She has competed, trained, and coached on the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) circuits alongside some of the top professionals in the country. Her impressive resume includes coaching and competing at prestigious events such as Princeton Show Jumping, Devon, Lake Placid, The Hampton Classic, and the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). As a student at Centenary University, Tiffany competed on their Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) team and captained the highly competitive team, as well as competed in the American National Riding Commission (ANRC) teams during her junior and senior years.

Coaching Achievements

At George School, Tiffany has established and grown the school's Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) teams, consistently leading her students to regional and zone post-season competitions each year. She has created a comprehensive program that not only focuses on IEA competition but also offers athletes exposure to external competitive environments and opportunities to work with leading equine professionals. Tiffany’s program emphasizes strong fundamentals and horsemanship, preparing students for diverse challenges and successes in equestrian sports.

Coaching Philosophy

Tiffany’s coaching style is adaptable to the unique learning needs of each athlete. She recognizes that some students learn best through listening, others through visual guidance, and some through practice and repetition. She emphasizes that mastering the skill of riding is a long-term journey, comparing it to a marathon rather than a sprint. Tiffany reminds her students that working with horses, which are large and powerful animals, requires patience, perseverance, and a continual willingness to learn. Her core principles for equestrian training include hard work, maintaining a positive attitude, and having fun, ensuring that her athletes grow in their skills and love for the sport.
