The boys continued their undefeated streak today, nudging out the defending league champions by ten points. The boys' meet saw first place finishes for George School from Aaron Zhao in the 50 freestyle, the 200 freestyle relay (Thomas Zeng, Francisco Correia, Ryan Liu, and Aaron Zhao), and Francisco Correia in the 100 breaststroke. Second place finishes today came from the 200 medley relay (Sam Mottershead, Francisco Correia, Aaron Zhao, Ryan Liu), Archer Euler in the 200 freestyle, Francisco Correia in the 200 individual medley, Aaron Zhao in the 100 butterfly, Jacob Hoopes in the 100 freestyle, and the boys 400 freestyle relay (Robin Serti, Sam Mottershead, Emanuel Vinhais, Archer Euler).

Today’s meet results have the boys’ season record so far at 5-0. Both the girls and boys teams face Shipley and Moorestown Friends in upcoming dual meet competition before finishing the season at FSL League Championships, being held here at George School, on February 9th. Let’s go Cougars!!

The GS boys' team overwhelmed the Shipley squad with first-place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay (Thomas Zeng, Francisco Correia, Aaron Zhao, Ryan Liu), the 200 Freestyle (Francisco Correia), the 200 Individual Medley (Archer Euler), the 50 Freestyle (Aaron Zhao), the 100 Butterfly (Aaron Zhao), the 100 Freestyle (Thomas Zeng), the 500 Freestyle (Francisco Correia), the 100 Backstroke (Thomas Zeng), and the 400 Freestyle Relay (Aaron Zhao, Ryan Liu, Francisco Correia, Thomas Zeng).  Rounding out the decisive victory were second place finishes in the 200 Freestyle (Jacob Hoopes, followed by Chris Toala for a GS sweep of the event), the 100 Butterfly (Archer Euler, followed by Darin Stockhammer for a GS sweep of the event), the 100 Freestyle (Emanuel Vinhais), the 500 Freestyle (Ryan Liu, followed by Sam Mottershead for a GS sweep of the event), the 200 Freestyle Relay (Joseph Hoopes, Matt Majeske, Robin Bouchet, Jacob Hoopes), the 100 Backstroke (Zach Bohrer), and the 400 Freestyle Relay (Sam Mottershead, Zach Bohrer, Emanuel Vinhais, Archer Euler).  The boys team has an undefeated 6-0 overall dual meet record which has them holding the number one spot in the league standings at this time.

The boys finished regular season competition today with another win making this their fourth undefeated dual meet season in a row! It was a nearly perfect meet for the boys today who took first place in all but one event. Today’s meet saw first-place finishes for the Cougars in the 200 Medley Relay (Thomas Zeng, Francisco Correia, Aaron Zhao, Ryan Liu), the 200 freestyle (Archer Euler), the 200 Individual Medley (Francisco Correia), the 50 freestyle (Aaron Zhao), the 100 butterfly (Aaron Zhao), the 500 freestyle (Alex Rawlings), the 200 freestyle relay (Francisco Correia, Ryan Liu, Emanuel Vinhais, Archer Euler), the 100 backstroke (Zach Bohrer), the 100 breaststroke (Francisco Correia), and the 400 freestyle relay (Emanuel Vinhais, Sam Mottershead, Zach Bohrer, Robin Serti). The boys' team is currently ranked first in the league after regular season competition and will be striving for a strong finish at next week’s FSL Championships!
