Lexi Muller ’23 Sets New Swimming Records
Lexi Muller ‘23 helped set two George School athletic records in the varsity girls’ swim team victory over Friends Select School on December 16, 2021. Lexi set an individual record in the girls’ 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.92 beating the previous record of 26.21 seconds.

To make the return from break as seamless as possible, and to give us time to make any alternative staffing arrangements that might be necessary with the return of students to campus, we are moving to online learning for the first week of classes starting on Tuesday, January 4, and expect that the school will start in-person instruction on Tuesday, January 11.

George School Varsity Math Team Celebrates Successful Fall Season
George School’s Varsity Math Team (GSVMT) won their first ever away match on Thursday, December 9, 2021, during the Philadelphia Math Olympiad competition at Episcopal Academy. The team ended their exciting fall season with a 17-2 record (5-0 in FSL)—the best record of any Friends League team.

The Advancement Office is now seeking nominations for its annual Alumni Awards, which are presented during Alumni Weekend, taking place May 6—8, 2022. Any George School alum celebrating a reunion is eligible for nomination.
Lael Brainard ’79 Selected to be Vice Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank
Lael Brainard ’79 was recently selected by President Joe Biden to be Vice Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank. Upon confirmation, Lael will be just the third woman to serve in the position.
