All School Art Show Exhibit

George School’s All School Art Show will be on display across campus from Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 24, 2019. Gallery talks and receptions will take place on Monday, May 6 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Marshall Center, Main, Walton Center Gallery, and the Class of 1956 Gallery in Mollie Dodd Anderson Library.

After fifty years, Paul Machemer ’65 will be retiring from George School this year. We will honor Paul, as well as Terry Culleton and Ralph Lelii, during Alumni Weekend on Saturday, May 4 at 10:00 a.m. in the meetinghouse.

Caitlyn Mihalik ’20 Pitches Perfect Game

The girls’ varsity softball team defeated Academy of the New Church (ANC) 17-0 on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. The Cougars are currently 10-1 in the Franklin Division of the Friends Schools League.

David Rutstein ’74 Works to Eliminate Health Inequities

David Rutstein ’74 is founder and president of SolHEALTH, an organization that works to eliminate health inequities so people, communities, and economies can thrive.SolHEALTH assists organizations to implement services using evidence-based modalities that promote health and prevent disease.

This year, Terry Culleton will retire from George School after thirty-nine years of service. We will honor Terry, as well as Paul Machemer ’65 and Ralph Lelii, during Alumni Weekend on Saturday, May 4 at 10:00 a.m. in the meetinghouse.

Cougars Sweep FSL Opponents

The George School varsity boys’ tennis team improved their overall record to 6-3 and their Friends Schools League (FSL) record to 4-1.

George School Students Among Big Winners at Film Festival

Shumpei Chosa ’19 was George School’s big winner at the 2019 Greenfield Youth Film Festival on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. He took home three top prizes including Best Music Video for Love to Share, Best Film Noir for Red as Blood, and second place Documentary for Peace Together.

Honoring Retiring George School Faculty

During Alumni Weekend, May 3 to 5, 2019, the George School community is invited to say their goodbyes to this year’s retiring faculty. We will be honoring Terry Culleton, Ralph Lelii, and Paul Machemer ’65.

Dr. Philip McAdoo Engages Community

Dr. Philip MaAdoo addressed the George School community during assembly on Monday, April 29, 2019. As an LGBTQ activist, Philip has worked to combat homophobia in today’s society. As an openly gay educator, Philip specializes in character development from the perspective of diversity and inclusion.
