George School Spirit Week Virtual Style

Students look forward to Spirit Week each spring when the Student Council organizes a week-long friendly competition among the classes. “Spirit Week is going to be a fun way to switch up our regular virtual classroom routine and have a little fun next week,” said Susan Robinson-Cloete ’20 on behalf of Student Council in an email describing the activities planned for each day.

The Virtual Classroom: Further Math

Making the choice to study Further Math in high school can be challenging enough, but imagine how much more difficult the class could be when classrooms are all virtual? Perhaps not surprisingly, George School students reported their experience with Math teacher Hamilton Davis was engaging, thoughtful, and even fun.

Students Explore Mindfulness at George School

Students had the opportunity to attend pre-recorded mindfulness sessions this spring to learn techniques for managing anxious thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Each thirty-minute session was offered by certified instructor Kaylee Friedman each week.

Seniors Headed to 98 Colleges

After submitting 1,344 applications, members of the Class of 2020 are called to give their best at 98 different colleges in the US, the United Kingdom, France, and Canada. This is the largest senior class in the recent history of George School with 148 seniors.
