George School will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. beginning Sunday, January 17, 2021, with two days of special programming with Rosetta Lee and Daniel Hunter.
English faculty, Shantel Hubert, is presenting, The Intersection Between the Veiled and the Masked: A Tribute to Langston Hughes, a virtual program held on February 21 through the Michener Museum in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
While the pandemic has affected everyone in some way, our international student population has faced particular challenges. In a recent conversation with Co-Director of Admission Kim Major, we focused on how international admissions in particular has been adapting during this time.
When the way forward is hard to see, George School is a light for me, and I hope it is for you as well. We will continue to align our work with the work of justice. We will continue to acquire knowledge for the beautiful sake of learning and to use that knowledge to benefit our diverse world.
George School’s College Counseling team has been working tirelessly to make sure students continue to get the guidance they need amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. Recently, the department hosted Junior Night with College Counseling, a virtual event for juniors and their families to discuss navigating the application process throughout the pandemic.
Members of the George School community are invited to view a new virtual art exhibit featuring work from members of the visual arts faculty. The exhibit will remain on display through Friday, February 12, 2021. A virtual gallery talk and reception is planned for Friday, January 29, 2021.
