Alexis Semidey-Martinez ’21: A Scholar and an Athlete

Three years ago, Alexis Semidey-Martinez ’21 enrolled as a George School student. Since then, she has excelled in the classroom, earning Head of School and Honor Roll every term she has been at George School, and on the basketball court, where the senior Co-Captain helped the girls’ varsity basketball team achieve an overall record of 27 wins and 19 losses during her time.

Philips’ Mill Exhibition Showcases Student Talent

Seven George School students have been selected to appear in the 2021 Phillips’ Mill Youth Art Online Exhibition which will run through April 16, 2021.  Ceramics student Morris Chang ’21 won first place in the 3-D category.

New Director of Development Announced

George School is tremendously excited to announce that after conducting a national search which generated a pool of extremely well-qualified candidates, Jaime Zamparelli Abramov will join the community as our new Director of Development.

The work of Amedeo Salamoni, George School ceramics and sculpture teacher and Anderson/Walton Galleries coordinator, is being featured at Saratoga Clay Arts Center’s national juried exhibition, Playing with Fire: Altered Atmospheres, through April 24, 2021 in the Schacht Gallery.

Alumni Talents Lead to National Ceramics Exhibit

Three recent George School alums were selected to exhibit their ceramics artwork in the prestigious National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition, an annual juried ceramic competition for students in the United States.

George School Writers and Artists Receive Scholastic Honors

George School students took home sixty Scholastic Art and Writing prizes in the 2021 Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, announced on January 28, 2021. Eleven students received Gold Key awards, reserved for the most outstanding student writers and artists in the Pennsylvania region
